You will find a Kitchen Knife Set to satisfy every taste out there. There are many that include everything you need to stock your kitchen with a cutting tool for every task including knives for place settings.
Victorinox offers a kitchen knife set in a few different versions. The first is a seven piece kitchen knife set that includes a 3.25 in. paring knife, 6 in. boning knife, 8 in. chef's knife, 8 in. bread knife, 10 in. slicer, 10 in. sharpening steel and a slant oak block. All of the knives in the set have rosewood handles.
The second kitchen knife set offered by Victorinox is the eleven piece set. This set includes a 3.25 in. paring knife, 6 in. boning knife, 8 in. chef's knife, 8 in. bread knife, 10 in. slicer, 10 in. sharpening steel, 4 steak knives with 5.25 in. blades, and a slant oak block. Again, all the knives have rosewood handles.
Cold Steel also offers a classic thirteen piece kitchen knife set that features six steak knives, boning knife, bread knife, chef's knife, paring knife, slicer, utility knife, and an oak wood block. The handles are all made of the tough Kraton. The steel in these blades are 4116 Krup Stainless.
Kershaw makes a very nice selection of kitchen knife sets to include the Kershaw 9900 Series. This is a 6 piece set that include the block to store your knives. This set includes a paring knife, utility knife, chef’s knife, slicing knife, sharpening steel and a pair of kitchen shears. All of the blades are of 420J high carbon steel that will provide you with a very sharp knife for quite some time.
Timberline makes a very nice forged kitchen knife set that includes a paring knife, boning knife, slicing knife, bread knife, 6 in. French style chef knife, 8 in. French style chef knife, and sharpening steel. These knives are constructed of 420 stainless steel and everything in this kitchen knife set is dishwasher safe.
I do like the Xikar kitchen knife set, which can come in several different arrays. Xikar creates their steak knife sets with Pom handles, which provides a non-slip silicon grip. They even offer a steak knife set in a bamboo handle that is very attractive and would liven up any dinner table.
Don’t be overwhelmed by the selection. Just choose a kitchen knife set that you find attractive and that would compliment your dining room. I like my kitchen knife set to stand out from the table so I ensure that I choose something that contrasts.
